my all time favorite band, THE USED is FINALLY in KL!!!!!
it's a dream came true for me and my friends, we've been listening to The Used since our early college days.
they bring back memories!
words can't describe how we felt that night.
the rain, the sing along, the crowd, the tears, and THE USED!!

here's a video of them performing the greatest song ever made, Taste Of Ink.
its raining, and we sang our heart out.
THE BEST NIGHT EVER!!!!!!!!! it's too awesome to be true. :')

lepas balik dari makan petang tadi, check FB dan nampak ramai org update about the incident and rescue mission kat Petknode. estimated around 300 cats kat situ dibiarkan dlm sangkar tak dijaga, without food and drinks for at least a week!! bnyk yg sakit, bulu gugur, tidur atas their own pee and poo. kesian gile weeeeiiiiiii aduuuhhhhh......ada yg tk mampu survive.... dgr cerita dlm 16 ekor mati. T_T :( :( :( :( sedih gila aku tgk gambar2.

so tanpa ragu2 kiteorg terus decided utk pegi Petknode kt damansara damai and help foster at least 1 cat. terus drive dari ampang ke sana. kesian gila kalau tkde org jaga weii.

sampai2, dh ramai org kt sana, nampak kesan kedai tu kene pecah utk rescue kucing2 ni (ni vid masa dieorg pecah kedai tu : http://youtu.be/unFK_tYOp0U). thankfully most of the cats kt situ dah ramai yg bawak balik and tolong jaga sementara tunggu owner dieorg amik balik. cuma yg sakit2 ramai tk berani nak jaga kot. aku pon tk berani.

so kiteorg tgk2 and decided utk bawak balik dan jaga si comel ni. :)
kiteorg tkleh simpan die lama2, bukan kucing kiteorg pon. just tolong jaga je.
so in 2 weeks, kalau tkde owner yg claim die ni, kiteorg kene pulang balik kat KTAJ utk tindakan selanjutnya.

for now, aku cuba la jaga die ni sebaik mungkin. dah seminggu dieorg ni terseksa wei. nasib baik ada org rescue, kalau tkde????

and latest news dieorg kata banyaaakkk lagi kucing2 yg petknode kurung kt lokasi lain. rasanya tadi dieorg dah pegi rescue kt satu banglow ni. mmg cilaka btol org petknode ni!!!

Last night's mural session ended around 5 am. penat nk mati.
pastu balik rumah eze, tak tido layan Just For Laugh uncensored. hahaha pastu tkleh tido terus sampai pagi.
so alang2 tkleh tido, aku pegi try beratur kt Machine kot2 ada rezeki ipad2 ada stock kt jb. hihi.

sampai machine dlm kol 10am, check it out :

tp aku ngan eze yakin jugak tunggu, sbb nampak kt kaunter ada lagi stock, cuma queue card je dah habis.
means, ada org yg dah amik queue card tapi tk beratur.

just wanna know how would it sounds like if im using headphone as microphone for my canon 60d. definitely better than 60d's built in mic.

random freestyle drumming. not perfect at all. fked up some parts.
i am not listening to any tracks or metronome.
the headphone is just to protect my ears.
7a on right hand, 5a on left hand. reuse old drumsticks. haha
didn't tune the drum. using very old drumheads. tom sound like shit.
ok thats all. gonna buy a real camera mic soon.

Superwonderfull Films contacted me asking if i could work on this project for Maxis, they are going to shoot my hand drawing live doodles to be used in Maxis web promo video. Usually i am in the post-production side; doing motion graphics for tvc, so this is an opportunity to be on the other side; the one in front of the camera. It's the first time im hired to do drawings for commercial, so im really excited to try this! and im really looking forward for more projects like this. get paid good money to draw? i can do this everyday! haha :)

more than 13 years of waiting, Deftones is finally here in KL!!!

i just wanted to enjoy the show to the max. the first time in a few years i didnt bring my dslr, i left my laptop with dina (time kasih dina!!), left my handphone, wallet and everything inside my backpack.

went to the mosh pit, full of sweat, blood, moshing and bodysurfing! just like those good old days!! and this is my first bodysurf after 9 fking years!!! especially after the accident few years ago, i cant even jump and cangkung. have to brave myself to join the fun. but at the end, it feels really good!!

this was just a few snaps i manage to get with my cheap compact camera before the show ends.

Destroy Shred Destroy at MAPS KL, Solaris. Organized by my friend, Cipoi from Senseless Art.
Its been a loong time since i went to a good local gigs and this gig is definitely one of the best! Destroy Shred Destroy brings the best out of local hardcore scene, featuring 2 of the most prominent bands in the scene; Cassandra and Incarnation, and 3 supporting acts; Ohchentaku, Massacre Conspiracy and Symbiotic In Theory.
i only took a few photos during the main act performance. really wanted to join the mosh pitt and bodysurfing just like the good old days. but considering my equipments, laptop and my injured leg, i dont think so.

anyways, pecaaahhh sial.

so, after our singapore STGCC trip, sambung pulak trip balik kampung and then pegi Pangkor Laut Resort. One island, One resort!

this is like, once in a lifetime experience. bukan senang nk pegi private island cmni. as far as i know, few hollywood celebrities pernah stay sini, and the late Princess Diana pon pernah stay sini.

rates? cheapest is USD350 a night and the most expensive is USD900 a night. luch and dinner are not included. hell yeah!
luch and dinner pulak, dalam RM400 sekali makan. so lebih kurang RM800 satu hari utk lunch dan diner sahaja.

tempat ni pernah dpt award No.1 resort in the world (2007).
yg special about this place adalah Spa dia. the most expensive package is at RM2000 per treatment per person. terbaik punya.

and how the hell org cm aku yg bil tmnet pon overdue boleh stay 3 hari kt sini? jeng jeng jeng.......hahahha.

STGCC 2010 : day 01 : set up night

STGCC is back hey!
this year im participating with my cubies brother, acit.
we drove all the way from kl to singapore to this must-go-no-excuse annual event.
oh wait, actually im the only one driving all the way because im the only one with driving license and know how to drive. patah pinggang wey.

we arrived at Suntec Exhibition Center at around 8pm and quickly set up our booth.
we keep it simple so that we dont have take much time to sep up and tear down the booth.
this year, we are sponsored by NewWebPick E-Magazine Malaysia, we got 2 booth and its really comfortable for me and acit.

i am actually driving in singapore without any GPS or road map, so pegi jumpa Fairy and her hubby Alit mintak jadi tour guide. hahaha.
oh and we haven't even booked our hotel yet, i tried to book a few cheap hostel online but apparently all the cheap ones are fully booked sebab ada Zouk Out party during the same weekend!
so Alit and Fairy bawak kiteorg pusing2 cari hotel, nasib baik ada. 2 bed room at $95 a night. ok la, dari tido dlm kete kan. book 3 nights terus.

finally, the event night is here!!
after 3 months of hard work every weekdays and also weekends.
berbaloi2 bila dgr a nice "waahh" and "wwoooww" from the crowd.
berbaloi2 bila org appreciate kerja kita.
walaupun bayaran tk seberapa je kalau ikutkan, tapi experience tu memang amat berharga.

today is the event day. most of the graphics from our side are finished and uploaded to hippo server.
its a relief for all of us; me, justin and azarul in KL.
and finally today, we had some time to visit the city and some shopping malls.
i didnt lke the shopping malls, its a really typical sungei wang/times square style shopping mall. i didnt buy anything.
the weather is also horrible. i like the cold weather but its very very dry. the air is very polluted with dust. my nose keep bleeding since the first day i arrived in beijing.

yes please. hahaha.

today is a bit more interesting than yesterday. we are having a full dress rehearsal today for international press. most of the animation for the wall are done, but there's still a bit of mistakes and render problems here and there.

i had some free time to visit some of the galleries during lunch.
sadly, most of the galleries don't allow visitors to take photos.
but here's a few.

everything here is absolutely amazing!! all the artworks are jaw dropping.

steve didn't say that we gonna stay at the famous 798 art district. i have never heard about 798 before. so when i arrived, i was amazed with what they have here! its an art district! they have tons of art galleries here! heaven on earth!

its been a while since the last time i did a mural.
so i took my own sweet time trying this finger paint technique for the first time ever. im loving it.

as u can see, i didnt finished the finger paint part.

yes. i dont have any experience doing this finger paint on wall before. actually, i never tried finger painting on any surface. so didnt know that it might injured my fingers. no one warn me. so yeah.

i didnt notice that i literally paint the mural with a mix of my own blood and pelaka paint. hahaha.

after the event, im back to pen and paper.
a teaser of upcoming commission work im working on right now.
its for E _ _ _ the magazine, N _ _ _ _ _ K. ehem.
have to submit this today, so lets fuck the fingers!

"Insight" Malaysia Young Contemporary Designers is an effort by BigBrosWorkshop to bring forth and promote Malaysian designers and their work to a worldwide audience. The project consists of two components - a book and a series of exhibitions. The "Insight Malaysia" series of exhibitions will feature the work of the best and finest talents in Malaysia and will begin its first leg of its worldwide tour in Tokyo & Shizuoka. Plans are also underway to organize the exhibitions in others regional some time in 2011.

"Insight" showcase is part of many awesome effort by the amazing people from BigBrosWorkshop to promote malaysia's finest digital artists and designers.

Some of my latest artworks will be exhibited for both "INSIGHT" preview showcase (Tokyo) and group exhibition (Shizuoka). make sure you drop by if you are in Japan! ^^

im doing another contract freelance with Steve Neild for another super huge, exciting and stressful projection mapping project. i invited my friend Azarul to join the 'fun' too.
one thing about Steve is he likes everything HUGE! every single thing must be HUGE and HIGH END.
just look at the machines. its never enough for Steve. he'll buy every new technology in the market. we can understand him very well as we would buy everything high-end if we have the cash too! haha.

he just bought 2 MacPro for future use, we already have 2 i7 monster to work on here.

this is the Hippo media server for live shows.

these old macs are going to be displayed in Steve's personal museum of ancient technology.

the mini render farm. we gonna need this so badly especially when the video resolution we are working on is at 12,908 X 1,080 pixel!!!

Dragon Ball has been my inspiration since i was a little kid (1993?).
back then, i don't really read comics, except for Dragon Ball.
i have never had the chance to buy a complete set when i was a kid,
so i borrowed from my friends and i missed a few episodes.

but finally, in 2010 at the age of 26, i bought the full set! yeah!!
